               Cocoa Beach Gallery is committed to showing art that communicates and, hopefully, informs. Paintings that we remember and learn from (either as an artist or an appreciator), are just as important as music that emotionally lifts us to places we have never been, or a well written article on a subject we would like to understand, or classic novels and plays that stand the test of time and help us know more about what it is to be human.
In order for there to be art, there have to be individuals who understand and appreciate it. Both the artist and people who appreciate art are equally important, and compose a kind of symbiotic relationship. The artist paints for an imagined audience and hopes that what is being said is important or interesting enough to call forth that audience. The best of situations creates a kind of waltz between the artist and viewer, each contributes in a complimentary manner to the final message of art. I sincerely hope you will join in this dance!
